THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CALIFORNIA - This site is dedicated to exposing the continuing Marxist Revolution in California and the all around massive stupidity of Socialists, Luddites, Communists, Fellow Travelers and of Liberalism in all of its ugly forms.

"It was a splendid population - for all the slow, sleepy, sluggish-brained sloths stayed at home - you never find that sort of people among pioneers - you cannot build pioneers out of that sort of material. It was that population that gave to California a name for getting up astounding enterprises and rushing them through with a magnificent dash and daring and a recklessness of cost or consequences, which she bears unto this day - and when she projects a new surprise the grave world smiles as usual and says, "Well, that is California all over."

Bill requires warrant to track cell phones

SHOCK  -  A Democrat introduces a bill to protect us from
a 1984 Big Brother police state.

GOP is Invisible   -   A Democrat's bill requires a search warrant for the government to spy on your cell phone

  • GOP legislators are nowhere to be found on enforcing the Bill of Rights.
  • Time will tell if this will pass the legislature.

This sticks in my throat . . . . I hate to say it . . . . but three cheers to California Democrat Senator Mark Leno for standing up for the 4th Amendment to the Bill of Rights and sticking it to the rise of a Big Brother state.  I have to be honest and must give Leno credit when credit is due.
.
Leno introduced a bill to prohibit government entities from obtaining location information from cellphones without a warrant.  The normally crazy State Senator Mark Leno (D-San Francisco) proposed SB 1434, an amendment to the Penal Code, to clarify the use of this ubiquitous and near-constant data stream in our pockets.
                                                              .
“Unfortunately, California’s privacy laws have not kept up with the electronic age, and government agencies are frequently accessing this sensitive information without adequate oversight,” he said in a prepared statement.

Protect the Bill of Rights.

Where is the Republican Party?  -  The GOP is vaguely aware that real people exist in California and that many of us are concerned about the Bill of Rights and Big Brother.

This bill protecting the Bill of Rights should have been authored and sponsored by every single Republican in the legislature.  But Republicans appear to have no interest in the Constitution or even getting a good campaign issue at election time.

Indeed, the GOP is a party of idiots.

The American Civil Liberties Union did an audit of the policies and practices of law enforcement agencies around the country. The organization found that, for the majority of those that participated, it's not uncommon for cellphones to be virtually tailed using either the phone's own GPS or cellular triangulation without obtaining a warrant or subpoena reports the L.A. Times.

The U.S. Supreme Court has weighed in on warrantless searches using GPS technology more generally In United States vs. Jones. The justices held that law enforcement was essentially trespassing on private property by installing a device to track movements.

The cellphone is more pervasive, with its significant penetration in today's society. Reidenberg said that using cellphones for tracking "enables others to learn systematically everywhere I go every time I step out of my door." This takes activity in public that "may become something that's private" -- a pattern of behavior.

SB 1434 also aims to protect against long-term monitoring by limiting search warrants to a time frame no longer than is necessary and not exceeding 30 days.

State Senator Mark Leno

Leno bill backs religious freedom

Part II   -   Republicans missing in action again.

Senator Mark Leno introduced legislation that clarifies the religious freedom of clergy members in California. Senate Bill 1140 reaffirms the separation of church and state and clarifies under state law that no member of clergy will be required to perform a marriage that is contrary to his or her faith. SB 1140 also protects churches from losing their tax-exempt status if they refuse to perform a marriage that is contrary to their faith. The bill is sponsored by Equality California and California Council of Churches IMPACT.
“With the recent appellate court decision on Proposition 8, we know that it is only a matter of time before same-sex couples in California will again have the freedom to marry,” said Senator Leno, D-San Francisco. “Under SB 1140, churches and clergy members who fear their religious views are threatened by allowing marriage for same-sex couples will have clear and solid protections under state law. Similarly, churches that welcome same-sex couples will be able to fully recognize those families within their faith.”

One would think Republicans would have some small interest in religious freedom.  But again they left it to Leno to take action and get the credit with voters on election day.
                                         .

.
The leaders of the California Republican Party.
No wonder Republicans have been a minority in the state legislature for almost all of the last 60 years.  These fools would not know a good campaign issue if it bit them on the ass.

Felons given "free" taxpayer funded housing

Hard work  -  Now illegal in the People's Republic.
In the "olden days" convicts had to pay back society for their crimes with hard work such as building roads or firebreaks in the mountains.  Today they sit on the asses in prison doing nothing and then get "free" taxpayer subsidized housing when they are released.  A liberal's wet-dream come true.

Democrats vote to move released convicted felons ahead of law abiding citizens for "free" taxpayer subsidized housing

  • A Socialist liberal wet-dream come true.
  • Remember, always bow down and worship your Liberal Puppetmasters.

The insanity of the People's Republic of California never ends.

The touchy-feely Democrat controlled Los Angeles Board of Supervisors voted to move supposedly "homeless" released convicted felons to the head of the line so they can get free taxpayer subsidized housing ahead of those who obey the law.

There was no word from the Commie scum Supervisors about what the victims of these criminals felt about having to pay taxes to fund free housing for felons.  But liberals and Socialists never give a flying fuck about the taxpayers.

The change would give ex-prisoners priority over thousands of non-offenders who are awaiting government housing assistance, officials  said.  The new plan waives a long-standing ban on homeless probationers and parolees obtaining housing subsidies reports the L.A. Times.

"With a waiting list in the thousands for Section 8 vouchers, it is irresponsible for convicted felons to leap ahead of law-abiding citizens who have patiently waited years for housing," said Republican Supervisor Michael Antonovich, the sole opponent to the housing agency's plan. "This deplorable policy sends the wrong message — commit a crime, receive Section 8 housing."

The housing authority has 22,000 vouchers under the Section 8 program.  Housing officials confirmed that if a parolee or probationer received one of the specially set-aside vouchers they could "jump the line" ahead of   those who obey the law in the general population who are waiting.

Lancaster officials are among those who have criticized the county's approval of the revised housing authority plan.

"I am absolutely appalled and disgusted that the Board of Supervisors would allow felons to cut the line for Section 8 housing benefits," Lancaster Republican Mayor R. Rex Parris said. "People who have played by the rules, led a clean life and have waited years to qualify for Section 8 housing now have to wait until criminals who are just out of prison take these valuable government-subsidized vouchers."

IDIOT ALERT - Farmer's Field in Los Angeles

This is why California does not work.
An insane 10,000 page environmental impact report that took two years to make.

Farmer's Field  -  A Bureaucrat's Wet-Dream Come True!

  • Endless government created delays while millions are unemployed.
  • A "touchy-feely" Green sports stadium where developers claim people will walk, bike or take the bus to the games.  (It is hard to stop laughing.)
  • If you obey your Big Government Masters and take approved "Green Mass Transit" to games you will be given first crack at tickets.
  • Fan tailgate parties are banned  -  Non-Government/Big Developer approved pleasure is not allowed.  You will only be allowed to eat in "approved" corporate restaurants.

The proposed Farmer's Field Stadium is an example of why California is totally screwed up.

While millions are unemployed there are endless delays by government at every possible level, moronic 10,000 page environmental impact reports, labor union input, and idiotic "green" transit proposals.  All of it for a stadium that will host but a tiny, tiny number of NFL games.  No wonder businesses choose to move to Texas.

A group seeking to bring the NFL back to Los Angeles unveiled a massive environmental plan Thursday, laying out ways to deal with the traffic nightmare that throngs of fans could create around the proposed $1.4 billion downtown stadium on game days.

Required under a state agreement to make the planned 72,000-seat Farmer's Field environmentally friendly, Anschutz Entertainment Group said it will spend about $35 million to reduce the traffic footprint by, among other things, expanding the nearby U.S. 101 freeway and a commuter train station.

The environmental impact report has a goal of having 25 percent of fans use alternative transportation, with 5,000 people estimated to walk or bike to games reports Business Week.

"We have to change people's habits from the day they buy their first ticket," AEG President Tim Leiweke said at a City Hall news conference.

Leiweke stressed the stadium's green credentials in unveiling the 10,000-page document, which is a key step in returning professional football to Los Angeles for the first time since 1994. Leiweke said he hopes the stadium will be ready in time for the 2017 season and added that if an NFL team arrives before the stadium is ready, it can use temporary venues such as the Rose Bowl in Pasadena or the Los Angeles Coliseum.

The report, which took two years to complete, is a milestone on the way to luring back a team to Los Angeles, which lost both the Raiders and Rams in 1994. After a 45-day public comment period, the report goes to the City Council. It also could face legal challenges but Leiweke praised the completion the $27 million report, which he called "the world's most expensive piece of paper."

"In terms of football, we are now in the offensive zone, not the defensive zone," Leiweke said at the news conference where he was surrounded by helmeted construction workers, janitors and other union laborers who back the stadium.

Leiweke said he was confident that the mitigation plans could deal with the upsurge and even the crush from a Super Bowl, noting that 365,000 people currently travel in and out of downtown every day.

"We can do that on a Sunday for 68,000 people," he said. "We can do this. We just have to teach people and reward them for using mass transportation."

One idea would be to give mass transit users first crack at tickets, he said.
                                            .
(Business Week)

Tailgate parties are banned.
You must pony up taxpayer cash to help fund the stadium, but it will be a cold day in Hell before you are allowed to cook and eat your own hamburger.

A swap meet could set up here.
Some $1.4 billion seems a bit pricey for an NFL stadium that would host a tiny handful of games in the fall and winter.  Maybe during the rest of the year the stadium could be leased out for swap meets, farmer's markets and Little League games.

Do Republicans want to win elections?

Comrade Obama has handed the GOP an oil industry jobs and taxes issue on a
silver platter and the GOP is too fucking stupid to act.

Does California have an opposition party?  -  No

  • The dysfunctional Republican Party does not know what it believes in.
  • Voters are given a choice between Red Flag waving Socialism and a me-too, half-a-loaf Socialist party.

Judging by the actions of the California GOP we do not have an opposition party in the state.  Republicans are clueless about oil, jobs and taxes.  Comrade Obama and Dear Leader Jerry Brown have handed the GOP the issues of gas prices and new jobs in the oil industry and the GOP does nothing..

In 1978 Proposition 13 did something the California GOP never dreamed of.  A wave of brand new "Prop 13" babies were swept into the State Assembly.  Those new Republican legislators had Howard Jarvis and Paul Gann to thank, not the GOP.  Prop 13 was put on the ballot by an independent group.  Big Government Republican legislators had placed Prop 8 on the ballot to undercut the Jarvis tax revolt.

Fast forward to 2012, the GOP has done NOTHING to get hot button Propositions on the November ballot that might boost the campaigns of their candidates.  Instead countless millions have been wasted on getting propositions on ballots about redistricting.

Oil Industry Job and Taxes

One lone Republican has a partial vision (just a partial one).  He wants to save strapped California motorists money by freezing the sales tax on gasoline whenever the pump price jumps above $4 a gallon.
                                         .
The idea, said George Runner, a Republican member of the State Board of Equalization, is to put a few bucks back in consumers' pockets.
                               .
Non-Thinking Republicans  -  Runner threw this out in a near meaningless press release while the rest of his party sits around with their thumbs up their asses.
.
Because Republican leaders are brainless they do not take this to its logical conclusion.  Get that thought on the ballot in a Proposition that their candidates can campaign on.  Add to it a Proposition to allow oil drilling off the coast creating new jobs, wealth and tax income to the state treasury.
                                .
Instead Republicans cower under their desks in fear and apathy.
                   .
Gasoline prices in California averaged $4.33, according to AAA's Daily Fuel Gauge Report. Runner said his proposal, expected to be introduced soon in the Legislature, would save consumers $1.4 billion a year if retail gas prices hit $5 a gallon.
.
"This should be a reasonable issue for us to talk about without being partisan," Runner said. (What the Hell is wrong about being partisan?) "We should try to figure out how to help motorists and taxpayers who are getting walloped at the pump."
                                                .
Sales tax revenue on gasoline for cities and counties rose 22.5% for the fiscal year that ended Sept. 30. And a change in the tax formula two years ago is ensuring that the state per-gallon gasoline excise tax revenue stays even with fuel-price inflation.
                                                                .
"We're not interested in undermining funding for local governments," said Robin Swanson, a spokeswoman for Assembly SpeakerJohn A. Perez (Socialist Democrat-Los Angeles).
.
California now has the second-highest level of gas taxes in the nation with an average of 67 cents a gallon, just below New York's 67.4 cents a gallon, according to the American Petroleum Institute.
                                        .
For every gallon of gasoline they buy, California motorists pay a federal excise tax of 18.4 cents and a state excise tax that is 35.7 cents now but fluctuates annually. The local sales taxes average 3.1% on the cost of gas and on the excise taxes, essentially a tax on taxes. That amounts to more than $10 in taxes for a 15-gallon tank of gasoline.

GOP Assemblyman leaves the party

Assemblyscum Nathan Fletcher
becomes an independent.

Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out

- - - An idiot "moderate" Republican who loves to work with Democrats on taxes leaves the party.

- - - Good.  Get the Hell out.

California Assemblyman Nathan Fletcher, a San Diego mayoral candidate whom the state GOP has considered one of its most promising future leaders, said Wednesday that he is fed up with the "petty games" of hyper-partisan politics and has abandoned the Republican Party to become an independent.

He told the San Francisco Chronicle that he and his wife - Mindy Tucker Fletcher, the 2000 presidential campaign spokeswoman for George W. Bush - re-registered as "decline to state" voters.
                          .
But let's get down to the meat of the potato.
                                                                   .
Fletcher earned the wrath of  Republicans by working with tax whore, Comrade Governor Jerry Brown and other Democrats on key tax issues, said he has "always been willing to step up and do what my conscience told me was right."  The bottom line is he does not give a damn about the Marxist re-distribution  of wealth.
                                     .
The Leftist GOP has very little going for it.  Holding the line on taxes is about it.  If Fletcher can't even stand against tax increases then don't mess around.  Become a Socialist Democrat.
.
Fletcher sought the endorsement of his party in the San Diego mayoral race two weeks ago and "someone else got it" - conservative Republican Carl DeMaio. The San Diego councilman is openly gay.
                                                  .
No matter how Fletcher wants to frame it, a lot of people are going to look at it as sour grapes.

Assembly Speaker John Pérez, D-Los Angeles, who said he knows Fletcher well and has enjoyed working with him, was not surprised by the assemblyman's decision. Pérez said Fletcher has "consistently been willing to work to find common ground not just with me but with all of his colleagues."
                                    .
(San Francisco Chronicle)

I for one am sick of being fucked by RINOs claiming to be Republicans.
The Leftist GOP already screwed the public on taxes under Arnold.  They have a
lot to do to re-gain any trust with the people.

Gregory Cheadle for Congress

At last a candidate who will speak up for all of us!

Thanks to Eric Dondero from "The Libertarian Republican"

He says the man he is trying to replace, Republican Rep. Wally Herger has been a "Wimpy rubber stamp," during his tenure in congress. He blasts his Republican primary opponent Doug LaMalfa a hypocrits for taking nearly $5 million in rice subsidize.
"Personally, I like Doug. But how can you condemn welfare on one hand but condone it (by taking crop subsidies) on the other?"
Meet Gregory Cheadler, grass roots Republican candidate for US Congress - northern California, (Chico, Redding).

The Redding Searchlight describes him:
Cheadle is a 55-year-old real estate broker and entrepreneur from Happy Valley, a libertarian-leaning Republican who also happens to be black.

Since last May he's been campaigning door to door in Chico and Redding. He started some six months before Herger announced his retirement after a quarter century in D.C. and anointed wealthy rice farmer Doug LaMalfa as his successor.
Where he stands: Oppose the War on Drugs, Lower Taxes! and Repeal ObamaCare

On Health Care:
"Obamacare is ridiculous. A 2,600-page law that's about nothing more than control."
On the War on Drugs:
"A miserable failure. For years it has been used as a ruse to target blacks. Race aside, one of the more damning aspects of incarceration for drug offenses is that we send amateur offenders to jail/prison and while there they learn to become professional criminals."
On the economy:
We need to lower the tax and regulatory burden and bring down the price of energy — "it's no surprise our economy is in deep trouble."
But it's his his views on African-American culture that may be the most controversial:
Rap music has served to reinforce the worst stereotypes about blacks, he feels. "The Klan could not have done this better."
On Illegal Immigrants - "Deport, Deport, Deport"

And finally, this on immigration (from his campaign website):
Illegal immigration has become a curse to this country. Our jails and prisons are filled with illegal aliens, many of whom are gang members, at a cost of billions of dollars per year. Ironically, an illegal alien in prison has health and dental care that many American citizens do not have. Illegal aliens are involved in everything from property damage resulting from traffic accidents to the murder of U.S. citizens…and THEY GET AWAY WITH IT! This MUST BE STOPPED, NOW!

The government makes a big deal about private employers hiring illegal aliens. Private employers are faced with fines if they hire an illegal alien, all in the name of discouraging illegal aliens from coming here. This is nothing more than a blatant double standard. How can the government encourage illegal aliens to come here by offering any number of welfare benefits, education, and medical care, and yet punish someone for hiring them? [The solution?] DEPORT, DEPORT, DEPORT...
Finally, the Searchlight notes, even Ronald Reagan was too liberal for Cheadle:
he's not afraid to criticize Ronald Reagan, who, he says, ran up the national debt and offered amnesty to illegal aliens. "And they (Republicans) love this guy? He was the beginning of the mess we're in today."
One note of caution for pro-defense libertarians: Cheadles doesn't emphasize foreign policy. It's not even mentioned on his website. But asked about it by the reporter, he sounds a little like Ron Paul, opposing the idea of being the "worlds policeman."

Yes, we need a part-time legislature

Michael and Ronald Reagan

Michael Reagan comes out for a part-time Legislature

  • Make the SOBs in Sacramento get a job in the real world.
  • Full-time legislators have bankrupted the state.  Let's try a part-time citizen legislature.  They have to do better than the morons in charge now.

Assemblywoman Shannon Grove (R - Bakersfield) got the ball rolling with a statewide proposition to return the legislature to part-time status.  She has now been joined in the effort by talk show host Michael Reagan, son of President Reagan.  Over 800,000 signatures will be needed to get it on the ballot.
"To reverse its death spiral, California needs to return to a part-time legislature and turn its career politicians into part-time citizen politicians -- which is what they are in 41 other states and what they were in California until 1967," says Reagan.
Today the state's 120 legislators work year-round and their $95,000 salaries are sweetened by as much as $50,000 in tax-free per diem allowances. They are the highest-paid lawmakers in the country.
Compare California to Texas and Florida. In Texas they pay legislators $600 a month and the legislature meets 140 days a year. In Florida lawmakers get $30,000 a year and meet just 60 days.
The politicians in Texas and Florida do not make politics their careers. They have to have real jobs in the real world. When they're not in Austin or Tallahassee, they must live and do business under the same laws they have written.

  • The act would return the state to a part-time legislature.
  • Lawmaking sessions would be cut from 230 days to 90 days.
  • Legislators would be forced to produce on-time, balanced budgets or not get paid. What a concept.
  • The act also would end politics as a full-time career in California.
  • Legislators would be paid $1,500 a month. At $18,000 a year, they'd have to find real jobs and see what it's like to live under the dumb and/or bad laws they write by the thousands in Sacramento.

Are Democrats Stupid?

Oil Drilling  -  To liberals the source of all evil in the world.
Never mind that the state would generate new tax money on every barrel of oil pumped out of the ground.  New taxes that could pay for all the Socialist Big Government Programs that Democrats want.

Is there anything more stupid in the world than a Democrat?

  • Democrats won't drill for oil and collect the taxes from pumping that oil. Then wonder why they are short on tax money to spend.
  • High Socialistic taxes are forcing thousands of jobs to leave the state.
  • New businesses do not even want to open in California.

There is a slow drip-drip-drip of jobs leaving the People's Republic of California.  It is a big world out there and companies have discovered that they can run their business just fine in Nevada, Texas or Mexico.  In its most recent annual ranking of "business friendly" states, Forbes magazine had some blunt advice for investors: "Utah and Colorado have maintained strong business climates. Forget about California."

In an act of insanity, Democrats appear to have no interest in growing business and then collecting taxes on those businesses.  They would rather wave the red flag of Socialism and jack up the taxes on an ever shrinking pie of business owners and taxpayers.

Californians like to dismiss such assessments of the Golden State and instead point to its natural beauty and quality of life. They tend not to worry what people in other states think. But they should.

Hi Tech   -   California is no longer the economic miracle it once was. Silicon Valley no longer has a monopoly on high-tech talent and innovation.  Tech jobs are rushing out of California to China, Texas and India among others.

Hollywood   -   The monopoly is gone and Hollywood jobs are leaving the state.  Movies are being filmed in Utah, New Zealand and Morocco.  Even the game show Family Feud is filmed in Atlanta, Georgia.  Hell,   SoCal porn producers know they don't need huge wardrobe containers to move to Nevada.

  • In the Forbes rankings, the state also comes in at No. 40 in the category of regulatory environment.
  • California also ranks a disappointing No. 32 in the "labor supply" category, based largely on its low high school and college graduation rates. This ranking represents a precipitous decline from the days when California's colleges were ranked among the best in the world.
  • The Canadian-based Fraser Institute compiles a similar ranking for the 50 states and the 10 Canadian provinces. Fraser's ranking is based on 10 statistical indicators that more narrowly focus on business concerns (tax rates, minimum-wage levels, unionization rates, public-sector employment and the like). The Fraser rankings came out in January. In that ranking, California scores even worse — a dismal No. 44 among the 50 U.S. states. South Dakota, Delaware and Texas top the Fraser list, while Vermont, New York and Alaska reside at the bottom.

Is there any chance Socialist Democrats will wake up and smell the bullshit they are shoveling?  The chances are slim to none.

(Los Angeles Times)      (Gale Anne Hurd)

The "Walking Dead" is filmed in Georgia.
Mega-producer Gale Anne Hurd (Walking Dead, Terminator, Aliens, The Hulk) has not filmed in California since 2003.  High taxes have forced her projects and the jobs connected with them out of  California.

.
Oil creates new jobs, wealth and taxes . . . but Democrats oppose new jobs, wealth and more tax money.

Freedom is gone in California

Freedom is almost gone in California

Dictatorship is here  -  The Democrats and Republicans have nearly abolished all opposition parties in California

  • In 2010 some 74 members of smaller opposition parties were on the general election ballot.
  • In 2012 there may be ZERO on the general election ballot.
  • Your write-in vote is now illegal.

In foreign nations when opposition political parties are banned from the ballot it is called Dictatorship.  But in California it is called "reform."

The lairs, thieves and hacks in the state legislature pushed through Prop 14 banning political parties in a midnight backroom deal without one public hearing.

On March 9, filing for the California primary closed (except in a few districts in which the incumbent is not running for re-election). It appears that there are only fifteen minor party candidates running for U.S. House of Representatives and state legislature.

This is the lowest number of California minor party candidates for those offices since 1966, when there were no parties on the ballot in California except for the Democratic and Republican Parties, and thus no minor party candidates on the ballot reports Ballot Access News.

In 2010, there were 74 minor party candidates on the California ballot for U.S. House and legislature.
.
In the U.S. Senate race, it appears that one Peace & Freedom Party member, and one Libertarian, and two American Independent Party members, filed. In 2010, there were six minor party candidates for U.S. Senate on the primary ballot, and four in the general election. Also in November 2010, the Socialist Workers Party had a declared write-in U.S. Senate candidate. Even write-in candidates in the general election are now barred.
General George Stoneman
He was elected as Railroad Commissioner
on the Workmen Party ticket.  Over 30
Workingmen candidates served in the
Senate and Assembly.  Today they
would be banned from the ballot.

Your Freedom Taken Away  -  Proposition 14, passed by the voters in June 2010, is responsible for this drop in candidacies. Proposition 14 makes it virtually impossible for minor party members to participate in the general election, so many candidates decided not to file. Furthermore, the implementing legislation for Proposition 14, SB 6, severely increased the number of signatures needed for a petition in lieu of the filing fee.

California always has 100 regularly-scheduled legislative elections, every two years, and in the last ten years, has had 53 U.S. House seats up every two years.

It appears that for U.S. House and legislature combined, there are only six Greens, five Libertarians, four Peace & Freedom Party members, and no American Independent Party members running. It is unlikely that any member of Americans Elect filed, but this can’t be known for sure until the Secretary of State releases the list of candidates.   (Ballot Access News)

Sample of a Free Election in California

  • Many choices for a voter.
  • The two major parties will not allow that to happen again.
  • Freedom, what a concept!

In California's history many political parties have elected members to the legislature and Congress.

The most successful was the Workingmen Party.  In the 1870s and 1880s they elected over thirty members to the State Senate and Assembly.  Also electing officials were the Progressive (Bull Moose) Party, the Populist Party, the Prohibition Party, the American Party, the Greenback Party, the Good Government Party and the Green Party.

What matters is voters having freedom of choice on a general election ballot.  Instead you have the two major parties working together to ban opposition parties from being on the general election ballot.

Food Police crackdown on mobile food trucks

Step away from the burger and no one gets hurt.
The Socialist Democrats of California are now looking to crush even more small private businesses.  This time  Socialism is acting in the name of healthy eating and saving children.

Leftist Moron wants to ban food trucks and carts from daring to come near schools and selling their horrible fatty food to the children

  • Ban all food trucks and pushcarts from coming within 1,500 feet of schools.
  • The law says pot stores need only be 600 feet from schools.
  • "Think of the Children"  -  The new Big Brother battle cry.
  • And the idiot voters keep re-electing these Socialist Democrat morons.

The Food Nazis have their knives out to crush small businessmen and tighten their Big Brother noose around the throats of the people.

A new law has been proposed here in the People's Republic of California to further crackdown on Freedom.  Socialist Democrats Assemblyman William Monning of Carmel has introduced a bill to significantly limit where mobile lunch wagons can operate.

In this sick Leftist Fuck's wet-dream he wants to keep the lunch wagons even farther away from schools than marijuana dispensaries reports the Los Angeles Times.

This Big Brother bastard wants to ban all food trucks and pushcarts from within 1,500 feet of elementary, middle and high schools from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on school days.  Pot stores need only be 600 feet from schools.  Food truck operators say the restrictions would put large swaths of their market — as much as 80% of streets in some places — out of reach.

Kill Freedom before it can infect people  -  His legislation could put many of the mobile kitchens out of business just as the industry is surging with creativity.
.
Los Angeles County has about 2,650 trucks the Southern California Mobile Food Vendors Assn.  No food trucks are licensed to operate in Monning's snooty posh hometown of Carmel-by-the-Sea, according to Mayor Sue McCloud.
