THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CALIFORNIA - This site is dedicated to exposing the continuing Marxist Revolution in California and the all around massive stupidity of Socialists, Luddites, Communists, Fellow Travelers and of Liberalism in all of its ugly forms.

"It was a splendid population - for all the slow, sleepy, sluggish-brained sloths stayed at home - you never find that sort of people among pioneers - you cannot build pioneers out of that sort of material. It was that population that gave to California a name for getting up astounding enterprises and rushing them through with a magnificent dash and daring and a recklessness of cost or consequences, which she bears unto this day - and when she projects a new surprise the grave world smiles as usual and says, "Well, that is California all over."

10.8 million Calif. ballots are “unaccounted for”

Corruption
Nobody knows - Nobody Cares

More than 10.8 million mail-in ballots went “unaccounted for” in California’s midterm elections last year, data published by the Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF) reveals.

In 2022, California election officials mailed out more than 22.1 million ballots to registered voters, the data published by PILF shows. Of those, more than 10.8 million went “unaccounted for” as researchers said election officials can only make assumptions as to what happened with the ballots.

“Typically, when a polling place opens and closes, there is an accounting of all election materials. Significant issues arise when incidents occur such as ballots disappearing at poll closing time. With mass mail elections, problems accumulate,” PILF researchers state:

After accounting for polling place votes and rejected ballots in November 2022, there were more than 10 million ballots left outstanding, meaning election officials do not know what happened to them. It is fair to assume that the bulk of these were ignored or ultimately thrown out by the intended recipients. But, under mass mail elections, we can only assume what happened. Mail voting practices have an insurmountable information gap. The public cannot know how many ballots were disregarded, delivered to wrong mailboxes, or even withheld from the proper recipient by someone at the same address. [Emphasis added]

Voters Bribed by Democrats Before Election Day

If you can't win on the issues then simply pay off the Sheeple voters

(CBS News)  About 23 million California residents will soon receive "inflation relief" checks of up to $1,050 under a budget deal reached by Governor Gavin Newsom and state lawmakers on Sunday.

The checks are part of a $17 billion relief package that will also suspend the state's sales tax on diesel fuel and provide additional aid to help people with rent and utility bills, Newsom and Senate President Pro Tempore Toni G. Atkins and Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon said in a statement.

The agreement comes as California drivers face the highest gasoline prices in the U.S., with the average price for a gallon of gas in the state at $6.32 on Monday — or about 29% higher than the national average.

Earlier this year, Newsom had proposed sending stimulus checks of $400 per vehicle to state residents, with a cap of two vehicles. But other lawmakers had pushed for a plan that would provide bigger checks to people who earn less.

L.A. Becomes First U.S. City To Reach $6 Gas Average

(Armand's Rancho)  If there was ever an excellent decision I've ever made in life, moving out of California has to top the list.

Until early 2018, I lived in the Los Angeles community of Tarzana in the San Fernando Valley.

It has been reported that Los Angeles has become the first major U.S. city to reach a $6.00 average for gasoline.

According to Fox 13 Seattle:

LOS ANGELES - Los Angeles on Tuesday became the first major city in the U.S. to reach an average gas price of $6 or more.

That's according to fuel savings platform GasBuddy, which reported the national average gas price in the U.S. beginning to decline since its peak of $4.35 per gallon on March 10.

However, that doesn't apply to California, where gas prices have continued to soar.

Gas has risen steadily in the past few weeks due to rebounding oil prices amid the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, but also recent refinery issues in Southern California amid a rise in seasonal demand.

GasBuddy says California also typically has some of the highest gas prices in the country because of high gas taxes and its cap and trade program, which assesses a premium based on emissions.

High gas taxes: Enacted by liberal Democrats

Cap and trade: Enacted by liberal Democrats.

Who has a total stranglehold control of the California government? Liberal Democrats.

It appears the people of California got the government they wanted and deserve. They voted for liberal Democrats. This is the price the have to pay. You wanted your high prices, you got 'em!

Well, enjoy yourselves!

Newsom Vacations in Cabo San Lucas at a $29,000 Per Night Villa

The COVID "Horrors" in Cabo San Lucas

"Let Them Eat Cake."
Newsom declares a state of emergency and then flees to Cabo San Lucas to soak up the sun.
  • The brainless Sheeple of California had a chance to toss this shit stain out of office but chose to lick his boots instead.

(The Gateway Pundit)  A couple of weeks ago California Governor Gavin Newsom extended the Covid state of emergency until March 31, 2022.

This is Newsom’s 3rd emergency extension which will take the state past the two year mark under his emergency Covid order.

The California governor’s first Covid emergency order was declared March 4, 2020.

“Winter is coming. Winter is here,” Newsom said as he announced he’s extending emergency powers.

Newsom took off to Mexico for a $200,000 family vacation shortly after extending his emergency powers.

The California Globe exclusively obtained photos of Newsom at the La Datcha Cabo San Lucas villa:

The Globe has received several photos and a now-removed Tweet from sources who were in Cabo San Lucas in the Mexican state of Baja California Sur over Thanksgiving at the same time California Gov. Gavin Newsom and his family vacationed.

The sources said the Newsoms stayed nearby at a $23,000 to $29,000 per night villa, La Datcha Cabo San Lucas villa, owned by Russian entrepreneur and businessman Oleg Tinkov. The sources said from their rental they could see the 10,000 to 12,000 square foot villa, and said it comes with two chefs, four to five servers, personal trainers, and the like.

“We were told the governor and his family were there,” one source said. “We could see him, and a blonde woman who looked like his wife, and kids, and another couple.”

Who paid for Newsom’s posh getaway?

Newsom’s press secretary told the California Globe that Gavin Newsom personally paid for the family vacation.

According to the source who spoke to the California Globe, Newsom invited locals to the villa for his own private fire show as entertainment.

Newsom’s office lashed out at the California Globe and demanded a retraction.

However, the California Globe obtained additional photos of Newsom in Cabo San Lucas:

On Wednesday morning, as the story began gathering steam on social media, the spokesperson declined to specify further and added, “Katy – I will repeat what I sent last night. I cannot provide the location due to security concerns. They rented a home.”

DEMOCRAT RACISM: Only Black Children To Get Extra Help in School

Democrat Policy:
"Hispanics and Asians need not apply."

The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) Board of Education approved a plan Tuesday to cut one-third of the Los Angeles School Police Department (LASPD) force and use the funds to help improve black student achievement.

The cuts came last year after activists protested to “abolish” or “defund” the school police department, which protects students from crime — particularly in predominantly black and Latino areas of the city, where there is more gang activity.

Now the plan has been approved, the Times reported Tuesday:

In a major overhaul of the Los Angeles School Police Department, the Board of Education on Tuesday approved a plan that cuts a third of its officers, bans the use of pepper spray on students and diverts funds from the department to improve the education of Black students.

The police overhaul by the Los Angeles Unified School District provides funding for school “climate coaches” who will work to promote positive school culture and address implicit bias at every secondary school. Staff to support and an achievement plan for Black students will also be added.

The approved plan will cut 133 positions: 70 sworn officers, 62 non-sworn officers and 1 support staff member. At the meeting, Chief Leslie Ramirez said the reduction would leave the force with 211 officers.

One school board member, George Mckenna, was quoted by the Times as saying: “The parents expect us to have safe schools. And if you think the police are the problem, I think you got a problem yourself.”

However, he was one of few who dissented.

Recall Gavin Newsom

Opponents of the Recall are not trying to defend Gavin Newsom. That, after all, is an impossible task. Instead, they’re engaging in what a corrupt political class always resorts to when its power is threatened: character assassination.

Remember the talk of Newsom’s Recall “war council”? It’s been operationalized. The Democrats’ political director just accused me of somehow fueling domestic terrorists by opposing the Governor’s policies. This vile smear follows the infamous “California Coup” event, where Newsom’s cronies likened a citizens’ movement 1.3 million strong to a violent overthrow of the government.

Another broadside came yesterday from one of Newsom’s closest allies, a Senator from San Francisco, who tweeted: “Anyone who enables the recall is participating in a MAGA revenge fantasy.”

That would certainly come as a surprise to Chamath Palihapitiya. He’s a tech billionaire who supported Michael Bloomberg for President and just came out in favor of the Recall. It would also come as a surprise to David and Jacqueline Sacks, a couple that gave the maximum $58,400 to Newsom in 2018 and is now financially supporting the Recall.

But most telling, dozens of the Senator’s own liberal supporters immediately corrected him:

  • “Excuse me? Your most ridiculous tweet ever,” wrote one. “I take offense with being lumped as a Trump supporter because our Governor is failing to do his job. Life long Democrat here who happily signed his recall. Newsom is destroying this state.”
  • “I actually like you and vote for you. You’re off point here,” wrote another. “I’m telling you, the dissatisfaction with Newsom goes beyond party lines. You’d do yourself good and your constituents good, by recognizing that.”
  • “As a constituent, I would love to see you bring the same energy to legislative oversight of the vaccine rollout, EDD, and Gavin’s many other failures,” wrote a Bernie Sanders fan, saying in another tweet: “I’m voting yes on the recall.”
  • “That is insane,” read another reply. “I’ve signed the petition and I voted him (and you) in. Newsom has given us the most restrictions with the worst outcomes. Period.”
  • “Californians have been defrauded of over $30+ billion dollars…holding those responsible accountable is our duty,” wrote a follower who said he’d supported the Senator for years, adding: “should I simply prioritize being on the right team? This is a lame and disappointing take.”
  • “Are you honestly giving him a passing grade re: handling of PG&E, EDD, vaccine rollout, schools?” wrote a follower who recently called for Republican Members of Congress to be arrested for treason. “Stressing party over performance seems so dishonest.”
  • “I have been a big supporter of yours since you were my SF Supervisor,” another replied. “But if schools are not opening in the Fall I will certainly support recalling Gov. Newsom.”
  • “With all due respect, the recall effort is democratic and constitutional,” said one outspoken critic of Republicans in Congress. “@GavinNewsom let us down with EDD, arbitrary decisions on lockdowns, schools, and vaccines. Voters decide what happens next as it should be.”
  • “The EDD mess is going to have millions of people siding with the recall people,” said a user who retweets the likes of AOC.
  • “Senator, gov has violated many rules himself, failed everyone, including those who cannot help themselves,” wrote a follower who has tweeted comments like, “Vote Biden not murderers and psychopaths.”
  • “I voted for him. He needs to go.”

These are not isolated examples. I speak every day with Democrats, Independents, and Republicans alike who’ve simply had enough. They may not agree on much politically, but they agree we deserve so much better. They agree our lives should not be turned upside by a corrupt Governor. They agree there’s no reason California should ever rank 50th out of 50 in anything – let alone just about everything.

Meanwhile, Newsom is calling California’s “progressivism” the “roadmap to success” for the Biden Administration. That is the absolute height of delusion. But it does show that the Recall is a movement with national significance: an urgent warning to the nation not to copy California’s failures.

Newsom gets full pay while driving people bankrupt

Asshole Alert
All the legislators and mayors get their paychecks while they drive workers and business owners into bankruptcy

(NY POST)  -  California Gov. Gavin Newsom failed to take a promised pay cut after slashing state workers’ wages has reportedly failed to take the ten percent pay cut he promised to give himself after ordering reductions in state workers’ salaries due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Newsom had pledged to reduce his governor’s salary by the same amount he was slashing salaries of state workers — 10 percent — back in May when he laid out sweeping reductions in spending.
While most government workers were handed smaller paychecks beginning last month, Newsom still received his full monthly salary of $17,479., the Sacramento Bee first reported.
Newsom’s spokesman, Nathan Click, told the Bee that Newsom was only issued his full paycheck because of an oversight.
The Bee found State Controller Betty Yee to be the only one of the state’s eight elected constitutional officers to take a pay cut last month.
Since the Bee’s reporting, most other constitutional officers have followed suit in requesting their pay reductions at the urging of the governor’s office, the paper reported.

Gov. Gavin Newsom rejects request for details on $1B China mask deal

Corruptus in Extremis

(NY Post)  -  California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s administration rejected a public records request from a major newspaper to reveal the specifics of his nearly $1 billion deal to receive 200 million masks per month from a Chinese manufacturer.
In a letter dated Monday to the Los Angeles Times, the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services stated that the state’s contract with Chinese electric car manufacturer BYD does not have to be made public.
“Cal OES determined all responsive records are exempt from disclosure, including exemptions for records reflecting attorney work product, attorney-client privileged information, or other information exempt from disclosure under federal or state law,” Ryan Gronsky, an attorney with the OES, wrote in a letter to the Times.
BYD — which stands for Build Your Dreams — inked a deal with California in early April, and neither side has offered further details since.
The company was formed in 1995 as a battery manufacturer. In 2008, Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway purchased a 24.8% stake in the company.
Since then, it has grown into one of the largest electric car makers and partnered with Toyota in November to launch a joint venture into electric car batteries.
The Buffett-backed company also operates a US subsidiary in Lancaster, California, which employs about 1,000 people, according to the Times.
Despite its growth under Buffett, the company announced it saw a 42% drop in profits from 2019, citing the coronavirus pandemic, cuts to government subsidies and changes to emissions rules in China.
Around the same time, the company said on its website that it had converted one of its manufacturing facilities into “the world’s largest mass-produced face masks plant,” adding that it would make 5 million masks per day in the fight against the spread of the virus.
Pressed by reporters last month about withholding details of the contract, Newsom gave scant specifics.
“I’m for outcome here. Some are consumed by process, personality, intrigue. Who’s up, who’s down. We are for actually solving a major, major problem — not only for the state but potentially a template for the country,” he said.
The California Senate and Assembly have also been kept in the dark about the deal, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
“It would be great to get a heads-up directly from the governor’s office rather than watching it on national TV,” Assembly Budget Committee Phil Ting (D-San Francisco) said in an interview last month with the Chronicle.
“We don’t have any information as to how many masks we’re buying, who we’re buying them from, at what price … What are we obligated? For how long are we obligated?”
Senate Budget Committee Chairwoman Holly Mitchell (D-Los Angeles) sent a letter to the Newsom administration requesting full details, including quality standards and price per mask.

Democrats close parks for Easter, post guards

The California Police State
"Go to the park? Hell no. Stay in your fucking home until we tell you that you are allowed to leave."

(NBC)  -  Mirroring an action previously announced by Los Angeles County, Mayor Eric Garcetti Wednesday all Los Angeles city parks will be closed Saturday evening into Monday to prevent people from gathering on Easter.

Garcetti said park rangers and Los Angeles Police Department officers will be at the parks to ensure the orders are followed as a measure to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

"I know that your heart breaks like so many of the things that we have had to do," Garcetti said. "This is such a fun moment for our kids.

Garcetti said the residents of the city are doing very well in trying to flatten the curve and weather the virus, but it's not time to backpedal.

Permanent Martial Law in America

The American Police State
Must See Video

The annual flu is being used as an excuse by the corrupt media to terrorize Americans, for government to illegally close businesses, to close gun stores, to tell workers not to work and earn money to support their families and to implode the entire economy.

We the people are being openly butt-fucked.

The Sheeple have been played
for suckers by the corrupt media
xx
The normal everyday flu that infected 34,000,000 people and killed at least 20,000 has been totally ignored by the corrupt multi-national corporate media machine.
.
But along comes the Corona Flu with only 81,900+ infections and the media tells the Sheeple to pull their hair out, shut down the entire economy and hide in the closet to await Death.
.
And the Sheeple bleat: "Please saaave us Master. We will obey you."

New high-speed rail plan keeps pushing toward Merced, Bakersfield

The Joke is on us
Newsom never cancelled the Bullet Train

(Fresno Bee)  -  With construction under way on 119 miles of its route through the central and southern San Joaquin Valley, the California High-Speed Rail Authority continued Wednesday to try to make the case for completing development of an electrified bullet-train line between Merced and Bakersfield as an interim step toward connecting the Valley to San Jose.

The agency released a draft version of its 2020 business plan, a document it is required to submit to the California Legislature every other year. It highlights the authority’s determination to expand the current construction boundaries – from north of Madera to north of Bakersfield – by about 52 miles total into downtown Merced and downtown Bakersfield.

Wednesday’s release of the draft plan marks the start of a two-month public comment period before a final version is adopted by the rail authority’s board of directors.

Merced-to-Bakersfield is being promoted by the rail authority to be its first operational segment by 2028-2029. Between its three current construction contracts and the one it plalns to make later this year for installation of tracks and electrical systems, the agency expects to spend a total of $12.4 billion. Extending the line from 119 miles to 171 is expected to add another $4.8 billion to the costs in the Valley, including an estimated $700 million to buy the line’s first electric trains.

“We’re moving. I mean, this is happening, and the 2020 business plan should really reflect the fact that this transformation is well underway,” said Brian Kelly, the rail authority’s CEO.

“Our budget is sufficient enough to advance the mission the voters gave us when they passed Proposition 1A and to continue to make important investments in all three regions of the state,” Kelly wrote in a letter introducing the business plan. Thus far, in addition to work in the Valley, Kelly said the authority has committed about $2.9 billion to rail and infrastructure improvements on the San Francisco Peninsula and in the Los Angeles Basin to pave the way for a statewide bullet-train line connecting the Bay Area and Southern California.

Assemblyman Jim Patterson, R-Fresno, was not impressed by the report. “The 2020 business plan is yet another make-believe document, like all the others before it.,” said Patterson, who has long been critical of the rail authority’s efforts. “The project is falling apart, and the costs continue to climb.

“The Authority continues to hope billions will magically appear, while the fight to siphon off Central Valley dollars for Southern California rages on,” Patterson added. “It’s become a pathetic fight for the scraps of a failing project.”

Democrats to force people to vote

(KTLA)  -  Following a series of sweeping expansions to expand access to voting in recent years, a California lawmaker is pushing to require voters to cast a ballot in future elections.
The proposal, introduced in the state Assembly on Tuesday, would be unprecedented and probably challenged in court should it ultimately become law. It would place the burden for determining the civil penalty and the ultimate punishment on the secretary of state, California’s chief elections officer.
“Democracy is not a spectator sport — it requires the active participation of all its citizens,” the bill’s author, Assemblyman Marc Levine (D-San Rafael), said in a written statement. “California is a national leader on expanding voting rights to its citizens. Those rights come with a responsibility by registered voters to cast their ballot and make sure that their voice is heard by their government.”
