THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CALIFORNIA - This site is dedicated to exposing the continuing Marxist Revolution in California and the all around massive stupidity of Socialists, Luddites, Communists, Fellow Travelers and of Liberalism in all of its ugly forms.

"It was a splendid population - for all the slow, sleepy, sluggish-brained sloths stayed at home - you never find that sort of people among pioneers - you cannot build pioneers out of that sort of material. It was that population that gave to California a name for getting up astounding enterprises and rushing them through with a magnificent dash and daring and a recklessness of cost or consequences, which she bears unto this day - and when she projects a new surprise the grave world smiles as usual and says, "Well, that is California all over."

Marxist Democrats fund lawyers for illegal aliens

The sanctuary state of California will soon spend $4.5 million on providing free lawyers to illegal aliens working on farms thanks to a plan by Gov. Gavin Newsom (D).

Newsom announced the pilot program this week, which will see $4.5 million in state taxpayer money shifted to lawyers who are helping illegal alien farmworkers involved in labor investigations.

“This new program includes case review services, legal advice, and representation by an attorney – all at no cost to farmworkers seeking assistance,” a press release states of the pilot program.

In California, some half of farmworkers are illegal aliens. The pilot program to fund lawyers for those illegal aliens involved in farm labor investigations is only the latest initiative by Newsom to provide free legal services to illegal aliens.

Since 2015, for example, the sanctuary state has funneled millions to lawyers working for non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that help illegal aliens fight their deportation cases.

“These initiatives help advance equity, inclusion, and a level playing field for both workers and law-abiding employers,”  . . . . .

Democrats Pass Laws to Benefit Illegal Aliens

Commiefornia:
of, by and for illegal aliens

Democrats Hate American Citizens of All Colors
By Shari Rendall | FAIR Take | December 2019
During the 2019 legislative session, California continued to pass many new laws to “normalize” illegal aliens and give them expanded rights and protections.  Governor Gavin Newsom (D) signed these measures that were vetoed by his predecessor, former Governor Jerry Brown (D), for being too extreme.
  • Senate Bill 225 allows illegal aliens to hold any “appointed civil office” and to “receive any form of compensation that the person is not otherwise prohibited from receiving pursuant to federal law.” A nearly identical bill was vetoed last year by former Gov. Brown.

  • Assembly Bill 668 attempts to lock Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) out of state courthouses. This legislation was also previously vetoed by Gov. Brown.

  • Senate Bill 104 expands the health benefits to illegal aliens by making aliens aged 19-25 eligible for Medi-Cal, the state’s Medicaid program. Illegal aliens 18-years old and younger were already eligible.

  • Assembly Bill 1645 requires the California Community Colleges and the California State University to designate a Dreamer Resource Liaison on each of their respective campuses to help illegal alien and other immigrant students obtain financial aid and other resources such as social and legal services.

  • Assembly Bill 32 bans private prisons, the majority which contract with ICE to hold illegal aliens while their cases go through immigration court.

  • Assembly Bill  1747 restricts the use of the California Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (CLETS) for immigration enforcement.
President Trump has noted that “in California … [t]hey don’t treat their people as well as they treat illegal immigrants.”  Former Acting ICE Director Tom Homan condemned the Golden State for “effectively making the absurd claim that it has the power to ignore federal law.” He added “California lawmakers would do well to remember that California is part of the United States.  Unless the state secedes and becomes an independent nation, it has to obey the same laws as the rest of our country.”      www.fairus.org

Are Democrats registering illegal aliens to vote?

The Democrat Party
Of, By and For Illegal Aliens

  • It fascinates me how the Democrats have told poor American citizens of Hispanic, Asian and African heritage to go fuck themselves.
  • Insane Democrats fall all over themselves to spend limited tax dollars on the citizens of other nations rather than give meaningful help to American citizens.
  • And now it appears illegals will be able to vote.

(American Thinker)  -  In February 2016, the California governor and legislature did something rather outlandish.  They made a law (2015 Motor Voter Law) that allows all California illegals to apply for a driver’s license.

This law combined with 2013 Assembly Bill 60 (automatic voter registration when getting a driver's license) effectively results in allowing illegals to vote, because having a license now automatically registers "eligible" voters to vote in California.

Well, perhaps.  Therein lies the rub.

California created a set of laws that effectively allow illegals to vote (Oregon and others, too, but let's stick with California).  We can quibble over how DMV workers will handle whether to voter-register a license of an illegal or how mail-in registration would be handled, since cross-referencing illegals databases is discouraged.

Bottom line, though, is that the loophole is now there and may cost Clinton the election.  Even one illegal vote (let alone 30 million) is enough to disqualify a state's vote...perhaps.

There are those who throw up the 15th Amendment to prove that California's laws are unconstitutional.  Put another way, a more straightforward approach is common sense.  Not a citizen = no vote (unless you'd like 7 billion taxpayer dollar-hungry voters involved in the U.S. election).

Why is this important?  California is a reliably blue state, but what would happen if each and every Californian vote (including its 55 Electoral College votes) were declared null and void by the courts (Trump would be the obvious plaintiff)?  After all, post facto, there's no way to untangle citizen from illegal non-citizen voting.

What are the ramifications?  If – and it's still a big if  all California votes were declared null and void by a court, that leaves 489 Electoral College votes (i.e., half or revised 245 votes to win the U.S. presidency).  Using the current flawed polls within the incomplete RCP 2-way average poll weighting, Hillary Clinton is currently holding an "insurmountable" yet diminishing lead in projected electoral votes: 229 (with no toss-up states).

That is not enough to clinch the deal in a non-California world.  Her current "229" Electoral College votes based on dubious sources would then be 174.  Whoops.  That scenario might even place her in second place behind Trump (who himself may or may not have votes to reach 245).

For the sake of argument, then, to the Republican House of Representatives we go.  How are Representatives in the House  even those who dislike Trump  going to vote for president?  Clinton, the second-place finisher, or Trump, the first-place finisher?  It would be the ultimate ratings boost for CSPAN.  My betting would go for Trump.

The only question remaining is, will Trump, trailing by a little bit in electoral votes, himself sue to remove reliably blue Californian Electoral College votes post-election?  Question asked and answered.  California has done a potentially material disservice to Hillary.

50% of illegal aliens could get Medi-Cal

Sucking on the Public Teat
The Marxist redistribution of your wealth in
return for the votes of lawbreakers.

(San Jose Mercury News)  -  Half of California's undocumented immigrants -- about 1.4 million -- have incomes low enough to qualify for full Medi-Cal benefits should California legislative proposals to offer coverage to the undocumented ever be enacted.
That is among the key findings of a Public Policy Institute of California report released Monday night which examines current policy options to provide health coverage to the state's undocumented immigrants.

Medicaid, called Medi-Cal in this state, is a government funded healthcare program for the poor and disabled. While it is unavailable to most undocumented immigrants, Gov. Jerry Brown in June signed a state budget that for the first time funds the plan for an estimated 170,000 children under age 19 living in California illegally. The cost of the plan, expected to begin next year, is $40 million, rising to $132 million annually over time.

But Medi-Cal for undocumented adults -- who were included in the original legislation proposed by Sen. Ricardo Lara, D-Bell Gardens -- was dropped after the state estimated the cost at more than $1 billion. Lara has said he plans to push ahead with a plan to provide comprehensive Medi-Cal benefits to those whose incomes are low enough to qualify.

The PPIC report looks at such a proposal, as well as one that would authorize the state to seek a federal waiver allowing those with higher incomes to pay full price for health plans through Covered California, the state's health insurance exchange established under the Obamacare.

Democrats Adopt Special Visa for Illegal Alien Crime Victims

The People's Republic of California
A state of, by and for illegal aliens.
American citizens told to go fuck themselves.

(Associated Press) — Nubia Rodriguez was assaulted and kidnapped by an ex-boyfriend, crimes that made her eligible for a special visa for immigrants in the U.S. illegally.
To apply, she needed law enforcement officials that handled the case to sign paperwork documenting the crime and her assistance in the investigation. She contacted the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s office but never got an answer.
Her experience is not unusual and led California lawmakers to pass and Gov. Jerry Brown to sign legislation requiring local police or prosecutors to sign the form that immigrant crime victims need to apply for a so-called “U visa” so long as they are otherwise eligible.
The move makes California the first state to adopt such a measure and the legislature expects law enforcement agencies will comply, said Claire Conlon, a spokeswoman for bill author and state Senate President Pro Tem Kevin de Leon (D).
Messages left at the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s office were not returned.
The measure was one of a spate of bills enacted in California this year to help immigrants in the country illegally. Others include anti-discrimination measures and giving low-income children access to state-subsidized health care.
Immigrant advocates say thousands of immigrants will likely benefit from the crime victim law, including many victims of domestic violence who might otherwise be reluctant to report their assailants over fear authorities might refer them to federal agents for deportation.

Napolitano: Democrats give illegal aliens the vote

"Corruptus in Extremis"

  • In the name of "reform" the Democrat Party once again sells out the citizens of the United States. . . . and the Sheeple voters bleat "We will obey you."

(Daily Caller)  -  Judge Andrew Napolitano says that “if you are an illegal alien in California, get a driver’s license, register to vote, you can vote in local, state, and federal elections in California and those votes count.”
On “Fox & Friends” Tuesday, host Steve Doocy explained, “The state of California has passed legislation that will automatically register eligible voters when they obtain or renew a driver’s license. Governor Jerry Brown says it’s a way to increase voter turnout, but critics warn the measure could add millions of illegal people to the rolls because the state allows undocumented aliens to get driver’s licenses.”
Judge Andrew Napolitano
Napolitano explained that in California, when one signs up for a driver’s license, one does not have to prove that they are in America legally. Napolitano explained that “other states… permit registration [to vote] at the time you get a driver’s license, have you go through another procedure in which you have to demonstrate citizenship.”
The new law in California would make the process “one procedure” according to Napolitano. “You may not even know that when you get your driver’s license you’re also being registered to vote. And there’s no requirement of proof of citizenship.” Napolitano argued, “All 50 states limit voting to citizens except when the state allows you to sort-of sneak in without proving your citizenship by getting a driver’s license instead.”
Napolitano explained that the argument about whether or not voting is a “fundamental right” comes down to whether or not voting “comes from our humanity like thought and speech and association and worship and self-defense? Or is it a privilege given by the government?”
Napolitano believes “the Supreme Court has wrongly said it’s a fundamental right. And once it said that, states like California decided to allow people to vote who aren’t qualified by law to vote because of the fundamental aspect.”
Napolitano argued that while it would be against the law for an illegal immigrant to vote in a federal election, “there’s really no way to monitor it. So if you are an illegal alien in California, get a driver’s license, register to vote, you can vote in local, state, and federal elections in California and those votes count.”
Napolitano emphasized, “It’s almost impossible to monitor this if the state is going to provide shelter for illegals to vote.”

31% of Californians are in poverty

Look Around You

  • Everywhere you look in California there is an explosion of new 99 cent stores and thrift shops selling used clothes.
  • While Californians struggle we see the open borders Democrats and Republicans importing millions and millions of new legal and illegal workers.

LOS ANGELES – (INT) - Almost 1 in 3 California households struggle each month to meet their basic needs, according to a report released Tuesday by United Ways of California.

The report finds that 3.2 million California households do not earn enough income to account for the types of expenses-food, rent, health care-that are essential to maintain even an adequate level of economic security.

Not only do these households not have enough money to save for the future or afford "luxuries" like eating out, but they are forced to confront tradeoffs each month about whether to forgo necessities like child care or doctor's appointments in order to make ends meet.

Some of the key findings from the ‘Struggling to Get B’ report:

One in three California households (31%) do not have sufficient income to meet their basic costs of living. This is three times the proportion officially considered poor in California, according to the Federal Poverty Level.

Only 39% of U.S. youth have jobs - A future of poverty

Households led by people of color disproportionately are likely to have inadequate incomes. 51% of Latino households and 40% of African American households have incomes below the Real Cost Measure. This is followed by Asian American households (28%) and white households (20%).

60 percent of households led by a non-citizen struggle to get by. By contrast, 1 in 4 native-born Americans and 36% of naturalized American citizens are below the Real Cost Measure.

Just over one-half of households with children under six years of age (51%) fall below the Real Cost Measure.

Nearly 2 in 3 (64%) households maintained by single mothers have incomes below the Real Cost Measure. In contrast, just one-fourth of married couples with children (25%) are below the Real Cost Measure.

Two-thirds (68%) of householders with less than a high school education have incomes below the Real Cost Measure. That number falls to 13% for those with at least a Bachelor's degree.

Struggling households spend over 50% of their income on housing, and families living below the Federal Poverty Level can spend as much as 80% of their income on housing.

Two full-time, minimum wage jobs are not enough to sustain a family of four. Yet, two-person, two-child households with two full-time, minimum wage earners earn $33,280 in gross income still fall below the Real Cost Measure by $10,000 to $30,000, depending on where they live.

Struggling to Get By also uses the Elder Index refined by researchers at the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research and the Insight Center for Community Economic Development to take an in-depth look at senior-led households. Despite seniors' different needs and work-force participation than younger adults, Struggling to Get By finds that a similar share-almost 1 in 3 (31%) are struggling.

10% of California workers are illegal aliens - Black Americans are shafted

Black Americans sold out by Democrats.

Racist Democrats: "Fuck You" to Blacks
  • Democrats have decided to totally screw over African-American citizens of the United States in favor of their brand new favorite ethnic group: illegal alien Hispanics.
  • Unemployment rate:  5.3% for whites, 7.5% for Hispanics and Black unemployment has increased from 10.7% to 11.4%.  (CNS News)
  • Democrats insist that illegal aliens be given jobs, free education, free medical care and free lawyers to fight deportation while Black American citizens go without.

A report released Wednesday by researchers at USC found that illegal aliens here in the People's Republic of California make up nearly 10% of the state's workforce.

The study, which was conducted in conjunction with the California Immigrant Policy Center, was based on census data and other statistics, including data from the Department of Labor and the Department of Homeland Security reports the Los Angeles Times.

USC sociology professor Manuel Pastor, who worked on the report, said it shows how integrated immigrants are into daily life in California.

"It's a population deeply embedded in the labor market, neighborhoods and social fabric of the state," said Pastor, who is a co-director of USC's Center for the Study of Immigrant Integration.

Advocates for more inclusive immigration policy say the economic contributions of immigrants are another reason they should be allowed to stay.

“Every one of California’s immigrants helps shape our state’s economic and civic vitality,” said Reshma Shamasunder, director of the California Immigrant Policy Center. She said President Obama should take immediate action to limit deportations and “honor these contributions and advance economic prosperity.”

But those who call for stricter enforcement of existing immigration laws say assessments of immigrants' share of the GDP does not account for the large cost governments incur in providing schools and other services to illegal aliens here illegally.

Steven Camarot, of the Center for Immigration Studies, which favors stricter restrictions on immigration, also said that bigger economies are not necessarily better.

"A bigger economy doesn't mean the people are richer," he said.

It found that of the 4.4 million immigrants living in the greater Los Angeles region, 1.1 million are here without permission.

Illegal Aliens and Insurance Industry Corruption

Follow the Money Trail
Drivers licenses for illegal aliens also lines the pockets
of the corrupt auto insurance industry.

"Corruptus in Extremis"  -  Fruitcake California Governor Jerry Brown's signing a bill giving illegal alien law breakers drivers licenses is a case of double corruption.  Of course corruption is just a day in the life of the People' Republic.

First, the liberal Democrats have turned their backs on American citizens of all races.  In the quest for Hispanic votes Democrats pander to the citizens of foreign nations allowing them to serve on juries, to working at polling places to ID laws that make it easier for them to live in this country.

But of equal importance, the corruption of forced auto insurance is deliberately overlooked by the lap-dog media.

The Democrats boasted about bringing illegal aliens into the into the system

The system they did not mention is the corrupt insurance-politician alliance where you are forced to labor and turn over your money to buy products you may not want.

The insurance industry stands to make countless millions from these newly licensed drivers.  In turn the industry fills the campaign treasuries of the corrupt politicians.

Scratch my back and I will scratch yours.

Forced insurance is big business, and the industry will lie, buy any politician and spend whatever is needed to keep the flow of cash coming.

Mercury Insurance billionaire founder George Joseph spent more than $16 million in 2012 on Proposition 33, his latest attempt to reframe the state's auto insurance laws to screw over car owners with higher rates.

Opponents, included the Consumer Watchdog Campaign. Opponents spent only about $276,000 on their successful campaign to defeat the insurance industry reports ABC News.

So welcome my illegal amigos from south of the border, or from China, India or wherever.  Welcome to Serfdom in California.

Learn your lesson well.  Obey your corporate Masters and their paid for whore politicians.  Open you wallets wide and dig deep.

Government Puts a Gun to your Head.
A corrupt Big Government, bought and paid for by special interest insurance industry money, passes a law that you must buy insurance for your car.  If you don't then the full police power of the state comes down on your had.
.
The paid off hack politicians of both parties will not even consider that you have a right to buy or not buy car insurance.  By "law" you have become a serf .  Forced to work against your will and having your earnings taken from you and given away to enrich others.
.
A free market does not exist.  So insurance rates are kept artificially high.

YES! - Illegal aliens can be California lawyers

Lawyers occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing had happened.
- Winston Churchill

Crime  -  The scumbag, neo-criminal lawyers who run the People's Legislature have agreed among themselves.  Simply, people who break the law and enter the U. S. illegally have special skills and early training in bending the law and truth.

The Legislature thinks criminals with such skills would make great lawyers.  So let's bring on the law breakers let them into the legal "profession".  Can making bank robbers and thieves lawyers be far behind?

A bill in the People's Legislature to let illegal aliens become lawyers passed its last legislative hurdle on Thursday and will be sent to Comrade Governor Jerry Brown for his signature.

The legislation was prompted by the case of an illegal alien Mexican immigrant, Sergio Garcia, who was brought to the United States as a baby, left and came back again (illegally) as a teenager.  Later he graduated from a California law school.

He broke the law twice making him especially qualified to be a lawyer.

He has won the support of the State Bar of California and state Attorney General Kamala Harris in his quest to be admitted to practice law, over the objections of the U.S. Justice Department reports Breitbart News.

The bill passed the state Assembly on Thursday in the waning hours of the legislative session. It would authorize the California Supreme Court, which finalizes applications to become licensed as a lawyer in the state, to admit qualified applicants regardless of their immigration status.

"By the grace of God, I was born on this side of the border," said Democratic Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez, who introduced the bill in the Assembly. Were it not for that accident of fate, Gonzalez said, she might have been prevented from becoming a lawyer.

Q: What do you call a lawyer with an IQ of 100?
A: Your Honor.
Q: What do you call a lawyer with an IQ of 50
A: Senator.

Q: What's the difference between a vacuum cleaner and a lawyer on a motorcycle?
A: The vacuum cleaner has the dirt bag on the inside.

Q: What's the difference between a lawyer and a leech?
A: After you die, a leech stops sucking your blood.

Q: How are an apple and a lawyer alike?
A: They both look good hanging from a tree.

Q: Why did God make snakes just before lawyers?
A: To practice.

Q: Why does the law society prohibit sex between lawyers and their clients?
A: To prevent clients from being billed twice for essentially the same service.

Q: What do lawyers and sperm have in common?
A: One in 3,000,000 has a chance of becoming a human being.

Democrat Party: "The unemployed can go to Hell"

Moonbeam Jerry Brown  -  Fighting for illegals, not American citizens.

Democrat Governor Brown:  'Unemployed American citizens can go to Hell.'

  • Democrats insist illegal aliens MUST be protected while millions of American citizens and their children go unemployed.
  • And idiot, mouth-breathing unemployed Americans of all skin colors and ethnic groups line up to vote for the very Socialist Democrats who just fucked them over.

In an interview with KGO-AM radio host Ron Owens, Comrade Governor Jerry "Moonbeam" Brown of the People's Republic said illegal aliens play an important role in our economy.

Said Comrade Brown:   "If 2,000,000 undocumented (illegal) people were rounded up tomorrow and put on buses and sent to the foreign countries from which they came, there would be a massive drop in economic activity. . . . Most of them are doing a hell of a lot of work."

The Big Lie   -   If you tell a big lie often enough the millions of simple minded voters (mostly Democrats) will believe it.

First of all, all the illegal aliens would not leave California in one day.  The change would be a gradual one.

Second, the illegals leaving would cause an economic boom!

  • Every working illegal alien that leaves California would create a job opening for American citizens of Black, Hispanic, Asian or European heritage.  Unemployment would drop like a rock.
  • Many jobs that employ illegals pay under the table.  Those jobs would still need to be done.  These new legal on-the-books jobs would flood the empty state treasury with new tax money.
  • As illegals leave the hundreds of millions the government spends on "free" education, "free" welfare, "free" food, "free" rent and "free" medical care would end.

There is one draw back to illegals leaving California.  Those American citizens with brand new jobs and increased wealth might not look to a Socialist Democratic Party as their father and provider.

Those newly employed voters might even start to think for themselves. . . . and that is why Democrats will protect and defend every illegal in California and the nation.

Libraries closed in order to fund illegal aliens

The Socialists of California worship before the throne of Labor Unions and illegal aliens.

A crime against Civilization:  "These actions are completely irreversible, and will be deeply regretted by future generations"

In a major victory for Socialists in the People's Republic of California, a key state Senate committee cleared the most significant obstacle to a bill that would give college students who are illegal immigrants access to public aid for the first time.

The Senate Appropriations Committee approved the final part of a two-bill package known as the California Dream Act, which would allow students who qualify for reduced in-state tuition to apply for an estimated $40 million in Cal Grants, community college fee waivers, and other public scholarship and grant programs.

So while the Share-the-Wealth Socialists fall all over themselves to fund illegal aliens the libraries of universities are being closed for lack of funds.

Driven by dramatic budget cuts that will shutter four campus libraries, staffers at UC San Diego are removing roughly 150,000 books and journals from their collections by summer’s end – selling volumes to the highest bidder or donating them.

If UCSD students or researchers want to check out the selected writings of Benjamin Rush, they might have to request it through an interlibrary loan and wait for a couple of days until it is delivered from another UC campus or from one of two UC library storage facilities, says California Watch.

The UCSD libraries face at least a $3 million budget cut in the coming academic year – about a 12 percent decrease. That comes on top of previous cuts of $5 million since 2008-09, UCSD libraries spokeswoman Dolores Davies said.

To deal with the cuts, the university has closed its medical center library, the International Relations & Pacific Studies library, and the Center for Library & Instructional Computing Services. The Scripps Institution of Oceanography is slated to be closed next year.

Officials have said the savings will come from eliminating vacant positions and ceasing to operate the buildings. The library closures sparked controversy among faculty and students, but it's less widely known that they have also caused a significant weeding of the university’s collections.

Overall, the university will cull about 4 percent of its 3.5 million volume print collection by the end of summer. The university could get rid of more volumes later this year, depending on officials’ assessment of other collections.

Andrew Hsiu, a UCSD student hired to help pack and move the withdrawn books this summer, said the university has been trying to keep a low profile on the project. He said that when a library facilities employee saw him taking photos of withdrawn books and blacked-out barcodes, the employee ordered Hsiu to delete the photos, telling Hsiu that releasing the images to the public could stir controversy.

"Even though all the students here at UCSD know that certain libraries are closing, the vast majority of them are completely unaware that this entails discarding hundreds of thousands of books," Hsiu said in an e-mail.

Hsiu, a junior majoring in linguistics, said he's concerned about the university's shrinking collections.

A student worker was told to stop taking pictures
of library books being boxed up and sold because his
actions were "disruptive".

"These actions are completely irreversible, and will be deeply regretted by future generations," Hsiu said. "Out-of-print books that used to be at UCSD are going to be gone forever. Future generations of scholars and students need the books right here in San Diego."

Davies said a student employee had been asked to stop taking photos because "his actions were disruptive to the work flow and we do have clear guidelines about filming or photographing in library buildings."

A draft report released in May by a UC library task force said that as a result of UC's obligation to fully fund the retirement system and to absorb a cut of $500 million to $1 billion in state funding, the libraries may see budget cuts as much as $52 million, or 21 percent of their budget base, over the next six years.

The budget cuts will "inevitably have an undesirable effect on library services and support for the University’s academic programs," task force chair and Executive Vice Chancellor Gene Lucas wrote in the May report.
