THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CALIFORNIA - This site is dedicated to exposing the continuing Marxist Revolution in California and the all around massive stupidity of Socialists, Luddites, Communists, Fellow Travelers and of Liberalism in all of its ugly forms.

"It was a splendid population - for all the slow, sleepy, sluggish-brained sloths stayed at home - you never find that sort of people among pioneers - you cannot build pioneers out of that sort of material. It was that population that gave to California a name for getting up astounding enterprises and rushing them through with a magnificent dash and daring and a recklessness of cost or consequences, which she bears unto this day - and when she projects a new surprise the grave world smiles as usual and says, "Well, that is California all over."

Tax increasing Republican runs for Congress

A Party of Political Whores.
The California Republican Party has totally been in bed with the Big Government Socialists looking to increase spending and grow the Socialist Cradle-to-Grave-Welfare-State.

Political Whore Alert!
California Republican slime ex-Assemblyman Anthony Adams runs for Congress

  • The Bastard Anthony Adams fucked over the people of California voting to increase taxes.
  • In secret, and without public hearings, he also voted to deny political parties the right to select their own candidates for office by adopting open primaries.
  • So-called "Conservative" GOP voters refused to recall Adams after he screwed them.

Former political whore Republican Assemblyman Anthony Adams announced that he will run for the newly created 8th Congressional District - to represent much of the High Desert, parts of San Bernardino, Highland, Yucaipa and Yucca Valley.

Adams once represented much of the Victor Valley as a GOP state assemblyman before turning into a traitor to taxpayers.  He has abandoned the GOP and will run for Congress under a No Party Preference banner.  Adams no longer has Republican Governor Schwarzenegger to protect and fund his campaigns.
Tax increaser Anthony Adams now wants to
fuck the voters in Congress.

Blame the Republican Party

Multiple Republicans, including GOP leadership, dropped their pants and bent over for the tax increasing  Great Schwarzenegger whore and the Socialist Democrats.

To bottom line it, the GOP did not give a crap about increasing taxes.  The state GOP even donated money to fund TV ads to increase taxes.
.
The massive increase in the California cradle to grave welfare state is totally bi-partisan.  The so-called "small government" Republican Party has eagerly voted to spend other people's money as long as there are bucks to pay off the GOP supporters back home.
.
The GOP voters themselves have only to look in the mirror to see why Socialism grows.
.
After the vote to increase taxes there were multiple recalls started against the GOP whores in the legislature who betrayed the people.  Every single recall effort failed.
.
That really says it all.  When the rubber hit the road it was the Republican voters themselves who refused to recall the liars in their own party.
.
The Party of "small government" my ass.  Republicans are nothing more than moderate Democrats.

The Rape of the Taxpayer - Public Pensions

The Pigs are at the Trough  -  Everyone from illegal aliens to multi-national corporations are feeding at the taxpayer through and they all agree that you need to pay more in taxes.
  • Labor unions are fighting tooth and nail to keep raping the taxpayers.

A pension hawk who is running for mayor of San Diego released information meant to shock:
  • a retired assistant city attorney with an annual pension of $307,758
  • a chief librarian receiving $234,091
  • an 80% increase in the last two years in the number of retired city employees with pensions of more than $100,000.
"At a time when roads are falling apart, services are being cut and private-sector taxpayers are facing difficult economic realities, these pension payouts are simply offensive," Councilman Carl DeMaio, a candidate for mayor, said at a news conference last week says the Los Angeles Times.

The government gravy train goes on and on, and the taxpayers, like good Sheeple, keep bending over for these crooked bastards.

Now the city labor unions have gone to court asking a judge to block the city from putting a pension overhaul measure favored by DeMaio on the June ballot. A hearing is set for Tuesday.

The measure would end guaranteed pensions for newly hired employees and instead provide 401(k) accounts for everyone except police. The measure would also freeze salaries at which pensions are calculated for five years.

The Dictatorship of California

California is becoming more and more authoritarian
  • All four smaller opposition parties have effectively been BANNED from all general election ballots.
  • People's ballot choices have been reduced.
  • Now even your write-in vote has been made illegal.

Comrade Governor Jerry Brown of the People's Republic of California has signed AB 1413, which removes the write-in space from general election ballots for Congress and state partisan office. California is the only state that has ever had write-ins, but which doesn’t have them any longer, except for Louisiana.

States that formerly did not have write-in space on general election ballots, but added such space during the last 45 years, are Florida, Indiana, Delaware, and Ohio reports Ballot Access News.

California is now one of only six states that have no write-in space on the November ballot for Congress.

Political Parties Banned  -  In 2010 the Democrats and Republicans worked together to ban all opposition parties from all future general election ballots.  In other nations this would be called a dictatorship, but in California the fucking bastards called it "reform".

In a back room deal, and without any public hearings, the legislature put Proposition 14 on the ballot that effectively removed all four smaller opposition parties from the general election ballot.  Only the top two parties in the primary would advance to a general election.  In addition Prop 14 made write-in votes illegal.

The legislature even hand picked who was allowed to write the ballot booklet argument against Prop 14, and none of the parties being banned was allowed to write that statement which went to every voter.

So much for freedom.

Now Comrade Brown has signed a bill removing that pesky open space on the ballot where you could put that write-in candidate.

Well, fuck Brown, fuck the Democrats and fuck the Republicans that created this shit.

Remember, only vote for candidate approved by the monied Elites.

EXTORTION: Jerry Brown extorting money to raise taxes

Getting Hammered and Sickled in California.
Comrade Jerry Brown is extorting campaign money from California businesses to fund his campaign for more taxes.

Comrade Jerry Brown is strong arming California businesses to fund his campaign to increase taxes on job creators.
  • Indian tribes with business before the state are being hammered to give money to Brown.

Socialist Governor Jerry Brown of the People's Republic is extorting hundreds of thousands of dollars for his tax campaign from California Indian tribes at the same time many tribes are seeking to re-negotiate lucrative gambling compacts with him.

The Democratic governor is proposing increasing the state sales tax and income taxes on California's highest earners.  To help his campaign Brown's administration is in compact talks "on various levels" with 15 to 20 tribes, said Brown's tribal negotiator, Jacob Appelsmith.

Any compacts Brown signs could significantly affect a gambling industry that generates more than $7 billion annually and millions of dollars in payments to the state reports the Sacramento Bee.

More than nine months ahead of the November tax election a number of tribes have responded to Brown's pressure and contributed more than $300,000 to his tax increase campaign, a quarter of the $1.2 million Brown on Tuesday reported raising in 2011.

Tribes donated $925,000 to Brown's gubernatorial effort in 2010

Brown spokes-hole Elizabeth Ashford lied and said there is "no connection between any sort of donations and decision-making on this issue or others."

It could also improve tribes' standing in future compact negotiations, relieving the state of historically "enormous pressure to try to extract more money" from wealthy tribes, said Jeff Cummins, a political science professor at California State University, Fresno.

Independent voters grow in California

More and more voters are rejecting the two large Socialist parties in California and are registering as independents.

The GOP has become a third party in the San Francisco Bay Area.  Independents outnumber Republicans in five counties surrounding the bay, plus a sixth county, Santa Cruz.

  • More and more voters are registering as independents and telling both Socialist parties to go to Hell.
  • In a panic the two large Socialist Parties forced a "top two" system on California so all independent and small opposition parties would effectively be banned from all general election ballots.
  • Democrats and Republicans will do anything to protect their monopoly in elections while turning California into a Socialist sink-hole.

There are now more than 17 million Californians registered to vote, up from 15.5 million four years ago, and a significant chunk of the new total – 21.2 percent – is made up of voters who have declined to affiliate with any political party, according to figures just released by Secretary of State Debra Bowen.

The Socialist Democrats maintained a substantial advantage over the GOP, accounting for 44% of the registered voters in California compared with 30% for Republicans. Both parties saw a drop of about half a percentage point over the last year.

Statewide, the number of independent, decline-to-state voters now stands at 21%, double the number that registered with no party preference in 1995.

“It’s been this way for two decades," said Allan Hoffenblum, a former GOP strategist who analyzes election contests in his nonpartisan California Target Book. "The Republican Party’s greatest problem, as far as its ability to increase the number of Republican legislators, continues to be the weak registration numbers."

The registration totals for the seven qualified political parties and voters who have no party preference are, alphabetically:
• American Independent: 428,560 registered voters or 2.52 percent of the total registered to vote, as of Jan. 3
• Americans Elect:   3,165;   0.02 percent
• Democratic:   7,429,684;   43.63 percent
• Green   111,319;   0.65 percent
• Libertarian   93,300;   0.55 percent
• Peace and Freedom:   59,012;   0.35 percent
• Republican:   5,170,592;   30.36 percent
• No Party Preference:   3,617,466;   21.24 percent
• Miscellaneous:   115,192;   0.68 percent

Republicans continue to hold a slight edge in California’s counties, holding a majority of voters in 30 of the 58 counties, the voter registration report shows. That number has been on the decline, however, since 2003 when the GOP had a majority in 37 counties. Democrats now make up a thin majority of voters in San Diego County, where the GOP held a slight edge a year ago, the report shows reports the Los Angeles Times.

The California GOP is run by idiots

Republican Supreme Court Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye
The GOP State Supreme Court basically told the Republican Party:  You made your own mess.
Now you have to live with it.

The GOP somehow manages to screw themselves

The Republican dominated California Supreme Court basically told the state GOP to take a hike.  They ruled that State Senate election maps drawn by a citizens commission will be used in this year's elections, despite a pending referendum to overturn them.

The issue came before the High Court after a Republican-backed group, Fairness and Accountability in Redistricting, filed more than 711,000 signatures with county elections offices in a referendum to overturn Senate maps drawn by a 14-member citizens commission.

Idiot GOP officials contend that the citizen's commission (that the GOP demanded be created) has drawn district lines giving Democrats a strong chance of gaining two additional seats in the Senate, enough to gain the two-thirds super-majority needed to raise taxes or fees.

The Head Moron of the California Republican Party is Chairman Tom Del Beccaro.  He told The Bee this week:   "If the current redistricting lines hold with regard to the Senate, the Republicans are going to have an enormously difficult time staying above the one-third threshold."

Is there anyone home upstairs?

A Parade of Morons  -  I don't think there is any doubt.  The California GOP is run by fucking idiots.
  • The GOP fought to take redistricting power away from the legislature.
  • Then the party complains they have no say in drawing the district lines because the redistricting power was taken away from the legislature.
People this stupid deserve to get fucked over in life.  No wonder Republicans are a minority.

County elections offices face a Feb. 24 deadline for certifying FAIR's referendum signatures. Thus far, they have verified 57,761 of 80,127 signatures checked. If the percentage of valid signatures holds steady, 72 percent, the referendum would qualify for the ballot.

Democrats target GOP House Seats

Leftist Democratic Socialists zero in on two Republican districts

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee elevated Dr. Ami Bera of Sacramento County and former astronaut Jose Hernandez of San Joaquin County to the highest priority in the party's bid to reclaim the House reports the Sacramento Bee.

Bera and Hernandez joined 16 other top-ranked Democrats on the party's designated first team of challengers, dubbed "Red to Blue" candidates for their potential to take back Republican seats.

Bera is mounting his second challenge against Rep. Dan Lungren, R-Gold River, in a newly redrawn district that's centered in eastern Sacramento County. Democratic presidential candidates carried the newly redrawn and renumbered 7th Congressional District in both 2004 and 2008.

Hernandez is challenging Rep. Jeff Denham, R-Atwater, to represent a district that includes Stanislaus County and portions of southern San Joaquin County. The population of the newly redrawn and renumbered 10th Congressional District is 40 percent Latino.

The Republicans, moreover, maintain their own means of marketing candidates. The GOP campaign organization includes a "Patriot Program" to help targeted incumbents raise money, as well as a "Young Guns" program whose participants include 24-year-old San Joaquin County resident Ricky Gill, now challenging Rep. Jerry McNerney, D-Pleasanton.

Bera reported raising $1.1 million last year and had $918,873 on hand as of Dec. 31. A spokesman for Lungren's campaign could not be reached to discuss campaign fundraising. Denham, who moved to Turlock, will report having raised about $900,000 last year.

California House seats are up for grabs

GOP Congressman Wall Herger of Chico was one of several
who has announced his retirement.

 'Musical chairs, except with switchblades'

The retirement of Rep. Jerry Lewis, dean of the California House GOP, marks the sixth and most significant departure from Congress in the wake of a new redistricting plan, portending a dramatic shake-up of the state's delegation.

California, after a decade in which only one seat flipped between Democrats and Republicans, now faces an election with about 12 competitive races. And some predict at least nine California newcomers could arrive in Washington in the next Congress reports the Los Angeles Times.

Lewis, of Redlands, is the third veteran Republican to leave, and his departure is likely to weaken the state's clout in Congress, where seniority still counts.  Three Democrats are also retiring.

The parties dispute how many seats they could gain or lose in the next election — Democrats now outnumber Republicans 34 to 19. One independent analyst predicts a Democratic pickup of two to three seats.

Retiring Congressmen
  • Jerry Lewis  (R) of Redlands
  • Wally Herger  (R) of Chico
  • Elton Gallegly  (R) of Simi Valley
  • Dennis Cardoza  (D) of Atwater
  • Lynn Woolsey  (D) of Petaluma
  • Bob Filner  (D) of Chula Vista

House Rules Committee Chairman David Dreier (R-San Dimas) has yet to say whether he will run for reelection in a new district or retire.

Forced into the same districts for the primary
  • Howard Berman of Valley Village, the top Democrat on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, faces a tough race against fellow Democratic Rep. Brad Sherman of Sherman Oaks in a new San Fernando Valley district.
  • Laura Richardson of Long Beach and Janice Hahn of San Pedro are running against each other in a new southeast Los Angeles County district.

"Redistricting is always the political version of musical chairs, except with switchblades,'' director of USC's Jesse M. Unruh Institute of Politics Dan Schnur said. "But the last redistricting was done by the Legislature, which was specifically motivated to protect incumbents in both parties.''

Back Door "Green" Tax Increase

Green Taxes . . . the newest scam from Socialists.

Governor Brown to raid a $1 Billion "Greenhouse Gas Fund" to pay for social programs
  • Money earmarked to "create jobs and deliver public health, economic and environmental benefits."

Jerry Brown, Leftist Governor of the People's Republic of California, has found a new pot of money to help him fill a $9-billion hole in his proposed budget: $1 billion from auctioning credits to allow California companies to emit greenhouse gases.

Let's bottom line this.  Leftists in both parties have no real interest in "Greenhouse Gasses."  If they did then only caps on gasses would be in the law.  No, this is all about brand new taxes that do not stop the gasses but do pour billions into government treasuries that can then be spent on Big Government programs.

But business groups are already denouncing Brown's plan as a back-door tax increase that they intend to challenge in court if the proposal is approved as part of the state budget for the fiscal year that begins July 1 reports the Los Angeles Times.

"At a time when the public is concerned about jobs and the economy, the budget proposes a new tax on California businesses for climate change activities," said Dorothy Rothrock, vice president of the California Manufacturers and Technology Assn. "The anticipated $1 billion is not windfall revenue. The funds will be paid by California employers suffering the worst recession since the Great Depression."

The so called cap-and-trade system is a critical piece of AB 32, California's landmark legislation aimed at cutting carbon dioxide emissions to 1990 levels by 2020. Modeled on a European program, it sets a cap on emissions of carbon dioxide, methane and other greenhouse gases for each industrial polluter or electric power plant. Facilities can exceed their cap only if they buy credits of other plants that have extra ones after reducing their own releases into the atmosphere.

The first auction, tentatively set for August, is projected to raise as much as $1 billion, which would be earmarked to "create jobs and deliver public health, economic and environmental benefits" as part of the state's effort to curb global warming, the governor's office said.

Unions, Hospitals, Casinos fund campaign to increase taxes

A $7 Billion tax increase
$1,200,000 raised by Democrats in two weeks from special interest groups to raise taxes

Socialist Democrat Governor Jerry Brown's campaign to raise taxes has raised more than $1.2 million in two weeks, according to the campaign's first financial filing with the California secretary of state's office.

Special interest groups looking to suck on the public teat or wanting favors from government are lining up to give Democrats money to raise taxes.

The sum was raised from just nine donations, the largest of which, $500,000, came from an arm of the California Association of Hospitals and Health Systems. The state building trades union donated $250,000 through its political action committee, Members' Voice of the State Building Trades reports the Sacramento Bee.

The contributions are the first large donations following Brown's announcement this month of a ballot measure to temporarily raise the state sales tax and higher income taxes on California's highest-earners, raising about $7 billion annually for five years.

"Our interest is that there be a budget that, you know, is halfway balanced," Duane Dauner, president of the California Hospital Association, said this morning. "This is an overall effort to be supportive of balancing revenues and expenses so we can, in fact, get the state back on track."

Blue Shield of California donated $100,000 to the effort, and California gambling tribes combined to give more than $300,000
